Knitting Knumbers

Kay Kat is knitting a sweater for her kitten using blue, red and yellow yarn.

The yellow yarn balls had only half as much yarn as the blue. The red yarn balls have three times as much yarn as the yellow. The yarn is all the same, except for color.

Kay knows that four red balls of yarn can make a red kitty sweater.

How many balls of yarn will Kay Kat need for a sweater that has an even pattern of red, yellow, and blue?
