The B.C. government has quadrupled its budget for anti-smoking programs this year. A key target for their campaign is teenage girls, who remain one of the largest groups of smokers. The government is also cracking down on stores who sell cigarettes to underage smokers. It will fine them and in some cases take away their licences to sell tobacco products. |
